Would you like to make a Bequest or Donation?
Bequests are made to the Hawke's Bay Museums Trust, who hold the collection.
A bequest is a lasting memorial to your love of art, culture and heritage. It is simply a gift made through a
Will, which can be worded to suit your wishes. For instance, you may choose to:
- support the promotion of Hawke's Bay artists through acquiring artworks
- support purchases for the Museum collection
- promote the education of Hawke's Bay children through the development of specific projects
- assist with the ongoing preservation of the treasures held
For a bequest, you may wish to bequeath, through a will:
- The Remainder - When you have made provision for your family and friends you may wish to leave what is
left, the remainder, to the Hawke's Bay Museums Trust.
- A Percentage - Many people decide to share their Estate between a number of people and charitable
organisations. They find that stating a fraction or percentage for each one allows for inflation or
possible changes in their Estate.
- A Specific Sum - You may wish to state a specific sum of money. But please remember that inflation or changes
in circumstances may necessitate regular review of your Will.
- An Asset - You may also wish to leave property, works of art or other assets from your Estate to the Hawke's Bay
Museums Trust for the benefit of the:
- Museum's Art and/or History collections
- Regional Archive and Berry Historical Library
- Education Discovery Centre
