Century Theatre Century Theatre

As part of Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery's redevelopment the Century Theatre has closed to the public, reopening in 2013.
While the Century won't be requiring major reconstruction as part of the museum re-build, it will benefit from a facelift and new
technology to keep it leading edge.
Our vision for the future is to re-energise the theatre as a significant centre for performance, music, film, conferences and lectures.
This will come about not only through physical changes but from growth opportunities with new audiences.
The theatre currently plays host to significant events on the annual performing arts calendar such as New Zealand Chamber Music concerts
and the New Zealand International Film Festival. It is our intention that both these key events will return to the Century in 2013.
When the Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery reopens in 2013, the Century Theatre will be an integral part of this new building bringing a
revived offering that compliments the significance of this new asset for Napier City and the wider region.
